Experimental Video
How do you listen? What kind of listener are you? What kind of relationship do you have with your environment? How do you act in reaction to the sounds of your environment?
Through the work of German-Canadian composer Hildegard Westerkamp and the World Soundscape Project, this film allows the viewer to listen to and contemplate some of the different voices and expressions of the city of Vancouver, Canada.
Soundwalk is a journey of complementary sounds and images from different moments in time. It is an exercise that allows the viewer to inhabit a present while listening to sounds of the past and contemplating the future of an environment that changes day by day.
